‘Sheffield Health Champions’ cited in Government's White Paper

‘Sheffield Health Champions’ cited as an example of best practice in Government’s Public Health White Paper

The Altogether Better regional Health Champions programme is provided as a case study in the Government’s White Paper on Public Health ‘Healthy lives, Healthy people’. The case study is cited as an example in best practice of how local people in their communities can work together to create healthier lifestyles. The inclusion of the case study follows a meeting between Sheffield Health Champions and Public Health Minister Anne Milton recently.  The Minister was clearly impressed with the work being undertaken in Sheffield by Health Champions, working through the Well-being Consortium and 19 of its member organisations.
