About Us
A brief history
The concept of Sheffield Well-being Consortium came from a desire amongst local organisations to work together more effectively. Members realised that there would be much greater scope for securing contracts and for joint service planning leading to improved services for beneficiaries through a consortium approach.
Greater third sector involvement in public health also aligns with the government’s goals of improving health and well being and giving people more choice, a stronger voice and better access to a wide range of community services.
Sheffield Well-being Consortium provides added value in the work its members undertake. This added value arrives through our members emphasis on volunteer input, and re investment and capacity building in their communities.
Our Board of Directors are elected annually and comprise of managers of member organisations.
