Contracts and Projects
In November 2008 Sheffield Well-being Consortium (now Sheffield Cubed) was successful in securing a three year contract with Sheffield City Council to establish, maintain and support a participant led network that empowers volunteer ‘Community Health Champions’, recruited from Sheffield’s most deprived neighbourhoods, to improve the health and well-being of their communities. Due to the success of the project over the course of the first three years, Sheffield City Council extended Sheffield Cubed’s contract until March 2016, allowing us to continue to develop and support the network of Community Health Champions.
Carers in Sheffield
Sheffield Cubed co-ordinates an integrated city wide Carers Support Service to all adult carers including both short term intensive, long term support and Time for Me grants working closely with the lead organisation The Carers Centre.
Sheffield Cubed is responsible for delivering some engagement work through our Health Champion Host Organisations. HealthWatch is the consumer voice for health and social care issues. We are working with the Healthwatch Sheffield to ensure there is meaningful engagement with members of the public on key local issues- to influence changes and developments in services for the benefit of local people.
The Work Programme
Sheffield Cubed has a contract with A4E to support people who have been unemployed for six months or more into employment.
