Support to parents who have a child with a disability, through a mixture of home-visits and short breaks by volunteers. This will be the fourth year, it is funded by Children's Social Care. The key outcome is to help parents to cope with the demands of caring for a disabled child. Citywide.

Support parents with Post Natal Depression, through a mixture of home-visits by volunteers, group support and parenting education. Operates mainly in the North of the city and is funded by Lloyds TSB foundation for 2 years. Main outcome is to reduce isolation, increase confidence and self-esteem and improve parenting skills/attachment between mother and child.

Baby's First Year - this is a project aimed at very new mums who are vulnerable to developing insecure attachments with their child. It is an intensive programme of support during the first year of a baby's life, including group work and home-visits. It has only been in operation a short time and is funded by Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. Citywide.

Parents as First Teachers is a programme we have been running for 3 years now, this will be the fourth, which provides home-visits and group workshops to parents with children 0-3 which supports them to engage with their child's early learning. It is funded by Henry Smith Foundation. Citywide

Support to parents living in the Mosborough.Handsworth and Arbouthorne/Manor/Darnall Service Districts. To provide outreach and home-visiting support to parents experiencing difficultiies. This is the second year for this project. It is part of a larger contract with Early Years, the other part being to provide outreach support to parents accessing 2 year old childcare places as part of the pilot scheme and support thier engagement in early learning.
